We offer emergency items that may not be available after a severe storm or any other unexpected emergency situation. We all have the responsibility to be prepared for any emergency or survival situation and to see that our families and our selves have the basics to survive. Forturnetly a lot of these emergency supplies can also be used on pleasureable situations like camping.

It is very important to remember these facts. When an emergency or survival situation arises that requires emergency preparedness it is not always possible to run to the various stores to get the emergency supplies you will need for the next week or so. The first thing to remember is if you or a family member needs any medications it is wise have at least a weeks supply on hand. Check with your doctor to arrange this emergency supply. Below is a partial list of the general things you may need if an emergency situation should arise.

Enough water for one gallon a day per person per day for at least a week.

Coolers & Ice Blocks
ice blocks are those blue gell-filled rectangular blocks that last a lot longer than regular ice! They are a must and will last for days in a cooler! These items are for the summer or people who live in year 'round warm areas! :-)

Insect Repellent
(you may need to camp outside your home if it is damaged) Again for areas warm year 'round.

Tents
Again, this is in case your home is damaged. you can camp on your property to keep an eye on it. Shelters may be full so this is a good precaution. Note....kids will love this one so get a small one for them also.....warm areas again. But even a tent inside the home will keep kids calm. Well, some of the time :-)

Your family needs may require additional items to prepare for an emergency preparedness situation. So sit down with your family and make plans as to how you will handle it. It is also a very good idea to give some projects to the kids. One suggestion is to orginize the freeze dried foods and water storage. This will keep them busy and reduce the stress on all involved.
